What happens right after you buy on Whop
You have bought a plan at whop.com/betsbeats-main-pick. Nothing arrives instantly, because a pick can only be posted once it exists. The main pick for a day is chosen, sealed and then released; the Whop post follows that release. This article describes the order of events so that a quiet hour does not look like a problem.
Step one: look at the sections
Your membership gives you the paid sections, Sealed picks and Members, next to the free ones, The record and the Lounge. Open Sealed picks first. If the day's pick is not there yet, that is normal. Read the most recent posts in The record instead, so you know what a finished day looks like.
Step two: the pick is sealed, then posted
Each day's main pick is frozen and given a SHA-256 commitment hash before kickoff. Once buyers on the site have been alerted, the pick goes into Sealed picks, and the fixture with the hash goes into The record. Why the Whop post comes after the site's buyers have it explains that order.
A Sealed picks post carries:
- the league and the fixture,
- the bet in full, with its price,
- the minimum price, below which you should skip the bet,
- the kickoff time in Eastern Time,
- the time it was sealed, and the hash.
The Members chat gets a short note that the pick is up. The selection itself lives in the forum post.
Step three: bet yourself, if you choose to
BetsBeats does not place bets. You decide whether to bet, how much, and where it is legal for you. Compare the price you can get with the published price and with the minimum. If the market has moved below the minimum, the sensible response is to skip the day. What the minimum price line means has the arithmetic.
Step four: the result
After the final, a post goes into The record with the verdict, the final score, the hash that was public before kickoff, and the salt. The title starts with WON or LOST. A settled ticket image can be added to the same post, sometimes the following morning, so a result that settled overnight may show as text first.
Reading your first Sealed picks post
The first line is the league and the two teams. The bold line is the bet itself: the market, the side, and the price in American odds, for example a spread with a number such as -110. Below it comes the minimum price, stated as the number below which you skip the bet. Then the kickoff in Eastern Time, then the sealed time and the hash. If you want to compare the post with the proof later, copy the hash into a note now. After the final you will see the same hash in The record and can recompute it with the salt.
What to do in the first days
- Recompute one hash from The record at betsbeats.com/verify so you have seen the check work.
- Write down the price you actually got on each bet. It is the only way to see later how the published price compared with yours.
- Keep your stake the same size every day. Bankroll rules for one pick a day explains why.
What a quiet start can mean
Buying in the middle of the day means the day's pick may already be up, may be about to go up, or may have been released before you bought. A pick released before your membership started belongs to the period before it. If you are unsure which applies, ask before assuming, and keep your order details. The first pick of your membership is the one released after you joined, and that is also the point the full-refund window closes.
A first loss is part of the product working normally. It is posted in the same format as a win. If you want to cancel, the refund page sets out what is available and when.
