Rest and fatigue and a player prop in the WNBA

One fact does most of the work here. The schedule is published a year in advance, so fatigue is an input, not an edge. It was in the number before the number was posted.

A player prop is a bet on one person's output rather than on the result, and in the WNBA it behaves like this: Twelve-deep rosters mean minutes are concentrated, which makes props steadier here than the sample size would suggest.

Where the two meet What is not priced is which players actually sit, because that is decided on the morning of the game.

The league's own contribution: Four ten-minute quarters against the NBA's twelve, so totals sit roughly forty points lower for a comparable standard of play.

Here is the catch. The obvious tired-team under is the one that keeps losing, because you are paying for a discount that was already applied. And on this market in particular: A prop is correlated with the game state in ways the price often does not fully carry: a decided game changes what every player on the field is trying to do, and usually removes the minutes or the attempts the number was built on.

What the published price did in the WNBA

362 games in the WNBA that are over and carried a price when we wrote them up, between April 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026. Each count sits beside what it is out of, and the share is the one divided by the other.

1 game landed exactly on the number — the handicap or the total — so it is in the count it is out of and in neither result.

The prices counted here are DraftKings', as they stood when we last wrote each game up — one snapshot per game, near kick-off for almost all of them, and never a closing line. So this says what the published line did, not how it moved on the way there.

A season that happened. Nothing here predicts the next game, and none of it is advice.

What the side playing a second night in a row did

25 finished games in the WNBA in which exactly one of the two teams had played the day before and the other had not, between May 10, 2026 and September 22, 2026. A game where both sides were on a back-to-back has no tired side to ask about and is not in here.

That side won 92536.0%
That side covered the handicap 112544.0%

A back-to-back here means the side's previous fixture started less than 36 hours earlier, taken from our own schedule — so a Saturday afternoon followed by a Sunday night counts and a clear day off does not.
