Six tools

  • verify_pick

Check a sealed pick from its SHA-256 hash. After settlement it returns the revealed text and a server-side recomputation.

  • get_record

The public running record of the main pick: wins, losses, voids, streak and date range.

  • get_results

Settled picks for one day: the main pick and extras with hashes, selections, odds and results.

  • convert_odds

Convert odds between American, decimal, fractional and implied probability. Pure math, no data lookup.

  • expected_value

Expected value of a wager from odds and your own win probability, plus break-even and edge.

  • parlay_payout

Payout of a 2 to 20 leg parlay if every leg wins, with the combined odds and implied probability.

Quick start with curl

Every tool is one JSON-RPC call. This one converts +150 to decimal odds and implied probability. The response has decimal 2.5 and implied probability 0.4, which is 40 percent.

curl -s https://api.betsbeats.com/mcp \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -H 'Accept: application/json, text/event-stream' \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"convert_odds","arguments":{"odds":"+150","format":"american"}}}'

To list the tools with their exact descriptions and input schemas:

curl -s https://api.betsbeats.com/mcp \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -H 'Accept: application/json, text/event-stream' \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/list"}'

Questions

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants call tools on a server. A client such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code connects to the server URL, lists its tools and calls them when your question needs one.

Does it cost anything or need an API key?

No. The endpoint is public, needs no account or key and has a limit of 60 requests per minute per IP address.

Can it give me tomorrow's pick or place a bet?

No. Before a pick settles only its hash and times are shown; the selection is revealed afterwards. The server is read-only and cannot place a bet. Today's free pick is at /free.

Is it safe to connect?

The tools only read public records and do arithmetic, and no sign-in or account data is involved. Most clients ask before running a tool, and you can leave that setting on.
