Revoked, and revoked for non-payment: two different endings
The register separates them. 8 records are Revoked and 50 are 'Revoked - Non Payment of Fee'. Both mean the regulator ended the permission rather than the company, and only one of them implies anything about conduct.
Non-payment is administrative. An annual fee goes unpaid, the licence is revoked, and the usual reason is a company that had already stopped trading and stopped answering post. Plain revocation is the regulator withdrawing permission from a business that wanted to keep it, which is the end of an enforcement process rather than a filing failure.
Neither is common. Fifty-eight records in 4,504 is 1.3 per cent of the register, against 15 per cent surrendered.
And that is the trap. Secondary sources routinely report the combined figure as revocations for misconduct. The register makes the distinction in the data and the distinction disappears in the retelling.
What to do with it. Read the exact string. 'Revoked' and 'Revoked - Non Payment of Fee' are different values in the same column and mean different things.
