What rest and fatigue mean in college basketball
The useful version of this is narrower than the popular one. The schedule is published a year in advance, so fatigue is an input, not an edge. It was in the number before the number was posted.
In college basketball specifically: Fifty-two games on a single Saturday in a busy month. No market can price all of them equally, and the ones nobody watches are priced by nobody.
What is not priced is which players actually sit, because that is decided on the morning of the game.
That is also the expensive part. The obvious tired-team under is the one that keeps losing, because you are paying for a discount that was already applied.

What the published price did in College Basketball
4,815 games in College Basketball that are over and carried a price when we wrote them up, between November 24, 2025 and November 6, 2026. Each count sits beside what it is out of, and the share is the one divided by the other.

How they ended
Over 6,487 finished games in College Basketball whose result line says how it ended — the feed's own one-line verdict, not a reading of the play.
| What | How often | Out of | Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Went past regulation | 329 | 6,487 | 5.1% |
4 games landed exactly on the number — the handicap or the total — so they are in the counts they are out of and in neither result.
The prices counted here are DraftKings', as they stood when we last wrote each game up — one snapshot per game, near kick-off for almost all of them, and never a closing line. So this says what the published line did, not how it moved on the way there.
A season that happened. Nothing here predicts the next game, and none of it is advice.
Counted November 6, 2026.
One situation, counted
What the side playing a second night in a row did
184 finished games in College Basketball in which exactly one of the two teams had played the day before and the other had not, between November 5, 2025 and November 5, 2026. A game where both sides were on a back-to-back has no tired side to ask about and is not in here.
| What | How often | Out of | Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| That side won | 63 | 184 | 34.2% |
| That side covered the handicap | 70 | 137 | 51.1% |
A back-to-back here means the side's previous fixture started less than 36 hours earlier, taken from our own schedule — so a Saturday afternoon followed by a Sunday night counts and a clear day off does not.
