The shortest confirmed-team window of any sport on this board. Until the sheet is published, a bet is on a squad rather than on an eleven.
Soccer squads rotate heavily and the manager has no obligation to signal it. Nothing equivalent to a published injury report exists, so the team news is genuinely news.
Some managers are highly predictable and some are deliberately not, and the difference is learnable across a season.
And that is the trap. Betting early buys a price and sells certainty, and in this sport that trade is unusually expensive because the uncertainty is unusually large.
What to do with it. Either wait for team news, or bet early only when the thesis does not depend on individual personnel.

The prices counted here are DraftKings', as they stood when we last wrote each game up — one snapshot per game, near kick-off for almost all of them, and never a closing line. So this says what the published line did, not how it moved on the way there.
