What the listed-pitcher rule is
The listed-pitcher rule — A baseball bet condition making the wager void if either named starter does not start.
The starting pitcher is most of a baseball total. A change replaces the premise of the bet, so the condition exists to void a bet whose subject has been substituted.
Some markets, such as first-five innings, are always listed-pitcher by default because the pitcher is the entire premise.
And that is the trap. The condition must be selected at bet time and cannot be added afterwards, and nothing warns you that it was not selected.
What to do with it. Select listed pitchers on every baseball bet where the starter matters, and check it is applied before confirming.

286 games landed exactly on the number — the handicap or the total — so they are in the counts they are out of and in neither result.
The prices counted here are DraftKings', as they stood when we last wrote each game up — one snapshot per game, near kick-off for almost all of them, and never a closing line. So this says what the published line did, not how it moved on the way there.
