What plus money is

Plus money — Any price above even money, where the profit exceeds the stake. +150 returns more than it risks.

It marks an outcome the market considers less likely than not. The size of the number is a statement about probability, not about value.

What the number means +900 implies 10 per cent. Most things priced at 10 per cent happen about 10 per cent of the time, and the question is never whether the price is big — it is whether 10 is too low.

Underdogs win often enough that a portfolio of long prices can be profitable with a low strike rate, which is why judging that approach by percentage is judging it by the wrong statistic.

What follows from that is less comfortable. A large number feels like opportunity because the format does the persuading. The identical bet in decimal odds provokes noticeably less enthusiasm.

What to do with it. State the implied percentage out loud before taking any long price, and ask whether you would back it at that percentage a hundred times.

What the published price did in US sports

11,262 games in US sports that are over and carried a price when we wrote them up, between November 24, 2025 and November 6, 2026. Each count sits beside what it is out of, and the share is the one divided by the other.

How they ended

Over 16,021 finished games in US sports whose result line says how it ended — the feed's own one-line verdict, not a reading of the play.

286 games landed exactly on the number — the handicap or the total — so they are in the counts they are out of and in neither result.

The prices counted here are DraftKings', as they stood when we last wrote each game up — one snapshot per game, near kick-off for almost all of them, and never a closing line. So this says what the published line did, not how it moved on the way there.

A season that happened. Nothing here predicts the next game, and none of it is advice.
