Verification

How to verify a BetsBeats pick posted on Whop

You do not need to trust BetsBeats about its sealed picks. You can run the check. It takes about two minutes and needs three things from Whop: the hash that was posted before kickoff, the pick details, and the salt that is posted after the final. All of them are in BetsBeats Record (free), in the forum called The record.

What you need before you start

  • The hash, 64 hexadecimal characters, posted in The record before the game started.
  • The result post for the same game, which shows the bet and its price, the final score and the salt.
  • The verify page at betsbeats.com/verify.

The steps

  • Find the sealed post for the game in The record. Copy the hash, or screenshot the post with its date. If you have the free product, you can do this at any time before the game starts.
  • After the final, open the result post. It begins with WON or LOST and carries the fixture, the bet, the final score, the hash and the salt.
  • Check that the hash in the result post is the same as the one you copied earlier. If it differs, stop. That is the whole point of the check.
  • Open the verify page and enter the fields it asks for: the date, the fixture, the market, the published price, the minimum price, the kickoff time and the salt.
  • Compare the hash the page produces with the posted one. They should match character for character.

The fields are joined in a fixed order with a single vertical bar, and prices are written to two decimals, so that the same pick always yields the same hash. What the commitment hash is explains why the format is strict.

Reading the outcome

  • A match means the pick, the price and the kickoff you see are the ones that were frozen before the game. Nothing was edited after the result was known.
  • A mismatch can be a typo on your side first. Re-enter the fields and check the two-decimal prices. If it still differs, that is a serious problem and worth reporting.
Why the salt mattersA hash of a short, guessable pick could be brute-forced by anyone trying every combination before the game. The salt is 64 random characters kept secret until the pick settles, which makes that guessing impractical. That is why the salt is only published after settlement.

What the check does not tell you

  • It does not tell you the pick was good. A lost pick verifies just as well as a won one.
  • It does not prove when the hash first appeared. The time of publication is attested by BetsBeats itself. If you want that to be independent, take your own copy of the hash before the game, which is a reason to join the free product and watch The record live. What the hash does not prove covers it.
  • It does not verify the final score. The score is public and can be checked on any sports results page.

If you are a free viewer

A free member sees the hash before the game and the full result after. That is enough for the whole check, since the pick and the salt are in the result post. What a free member cannot do is compare the sealed selection with the result before the game, because the selection is not shown. If you want that comparison to be possible, save the hash early and treat the result post as the reveal. If you are a paid member, save the Sealed picks post too, so that you hold both halves.

If you verify three or four days, including at least one loss, you have seen enough to know whether the method does what it says on the days you looked at. For the days you did not, the same check remains open. Reading a settled ticket shows what the rest of the result post contains. Everything here is for adults aged 21 or over, and every pick can lose.
