What the delivery window is

Each day opens a window of 24 hours, and inside it we owe you exactly one main pick. The window is the shape of the promise: not "a pick at some hour", but "a pick inside this day, or the day does not count against you".

What the window is for

The release time floats with the fixture, so "when is the pick coming?" cannot be answered with a fixed hour. The window answers the question that actually matters instead: by the time this day closes, either a main pick was published inside it or you were not charged for it.

If the window closes with no main pick

  • The day voids automatically. Nothing comes off your counter.
  • It is recorded as a miss on our side, with that reason attached, and published like any other day.
  • The check runs both on a schedule and whenever the day is read. A scheduled job that failed to fire must not quietly turn into a day you lose — the failure is ours, and it should not need us to notice it before it stops costing you.

A closed window is not the same as a rest day

A rest day is a decision: we looked, nothing cleared the bar, and we said so before the day ran out. A closed empty window is a failure: we owed a pick and did not publish one. Both leave your counter untouched, and both are recorded — separately, because they are not the same thing and should not read as if they were.

What it does not promise The window is about delivery, not about the result. A main pick published well inside the window can still lose, and when it does the day costs you nothing either — see what happens when the main pick loses.
