Why one deposit lands instantly and another takes days
Card and wallet deposits authorise in seconds because the money is pulled and guaranteed by the network before the balance updates. Bank transfers land when the bank moves them, which is a batch process on a banking calendar. The difference is whose system is being waited on, not how fast the bookmaker is.
A bookmaker credits a balance the moment it has a guarantee of payment, because the risk of crediting before settlement is theirs. Cards and wallets provide that guarantee up front; a transfer provides it only on arrival. Everything about the wait is downstream of that one fact, which is also why a transfer that arrives on a Friday evening may not be seen until Monday.
It does not mean the money is lost while it is in flight. A transfer that has left one account and not arrived at another exists in a settlement system with a reference attached, and that reference is what any query about it will need.
What follows from that is less comfortable. People deposit by transfer to beat a card block and then treat the delay as a problem with the bookmaker. The delay is the payment rail, and chasing it at the wrong end wastes the time it would have taken to arrive.
What to do with it. If timing matters, use the method that carries its own guarantee, and keep the reference for anything that does not arrive the same day.
