A cancelled or forfeited NFL game
A game not played within the operator's stated window is void and stakes are returned. A forfeit is usually settled as a result rather than voided.
Operators define a window — same day, same week, within seventy-two hours — and the window decides everything. It is a contract term, not a league rule.
Forfeits are extremely rare in the NFL and the rule matters more in college football and in leagues with unstable scheduling.
And that is the trap. Two operators can apply opposite rules to one event, and both are following their own published terms correctly.
