A used bullpen
Relievers who have pitched on consecutive days are unavailable or diminished. It is public information that nobody publishes as a single usable figure.
Modern bullpens are specialised and short-rested arms are protected. A team whose top three relievers have all worked twice in three days is a different team in the late innings, without any injury having occurred.
It matters most in close games and not at all in blowouts, which makes it a situational input rather than a general adjustment to a total.
And that is the trap. It requires tracking across days rather than looking up on the day, which is the only reason it retains any value at all — the effort is the barrier.
What to do with it. Keep a running note of reliever appearances for the teams you follow, and use it for live and late-game markets rather than pre-game totals.

137 games landed exactly on the number — the handicap or the total — so they are in the counts they are out of and in neither result.
The prices counted here are DraftKings', as they stood when we last wrote each game up — one snapshot per game, near kick-off for almost all of them, and never a closing line. So this says what the published line did, not how it moved on the way there.
