Where to bet — and why we will not tell you

We recommend no bookmaker. Not one. Not ever. We carry no affiliate links, we take no commission from anyone, and there is no bookmaker paying to appear here.

There are three reasons, and none of them is modesty.

  • It would change what we are. The moment we take money from a bookmaker we stop selling information and start selling traffic — and then our pick is no longer only our judgement.
  • The rules depend on where you live. What is legal in one country is not in the next, and who may accept your bet depends on your jurisdiction, not on our opinion.
  • It is your money and your account. Deposits, withdrawals, verification and limits are a contract between you and that company. We are not in the middle and do not want to be.

Searching for "sports betting" will give you more options than you can work through — finding a bookmaker is never the problem, choosing one is. That part is yours: check what is licensed where you live, what they charge to deposit and withdraw, and how they behave when you win.

The one thing we do say about your bookmaker Every pick carries a minimum price. If your bookmaker prices below that number, the pick is not worth taking and we say so. That is not a recommendation of a bookmaker: it is a condition of the pick itself.

What we will help with instead

"Check what is licensed where you live" is easy to write and less easy to do, so there is now a section that shows you how — how to check whether a betting site is licensed, what each licence status means, and why the site you are on is often not the company holding your money. It is a method, read off a regulator's own published register.

It names no bookmaker and ranks nothing, for the reasons above. Somebody who can check a licence themselves does not need to be told which company to trust, which is the entire point.

What the published price did in US sports

11,262 games in US sports that are over and carried a price when we wrote them up, between November 24, 2025 and November 6, 2026. Each count sits beside what it is out of, and the share is the one divided by the other.

WhatHow oftenOut ofShare
The shorter price won7,05810,93664.5%
The favourite covered the handicap3,3737,00348.2%

The home side won6,36111,26256.5%

How they ended

Over 16,021 finished games in US sports whose result line says how it ended — the feed's own one-line verdict, not a reading of the play.

WhatHow oftenOut ofShare
Went past regulation1,21216,0217.6%
Settled on a shootout16116,0211.0%
Called before the end916,0210.1%

286 games landed exactly on the number — the handicap or the total — so they are in the counts they are out of and in neither result.

The prices counted here are DraftKings', as they stood when we last wrote each game up — one snapshot per game, near kick-off for almost all of them, and never a closing line. So this says what the published line did, not how it moved on the way there.

A season that happened. Nothing here predicts the next game, and none of it is advice.

Counted November 6, 2026.
