Why you place the bet yourself
We publish picks. You place bets: at your own bookmaker, with your own money, and at your own risk. We never hold a stake, never move one, and never see one.
Three reasons, and none of them is convenience
- It is your account and your jurisdiction. Who may legally accept your bet depends on where you live, not on our opinion. Deposits, withdrawals, verification and limits are a contract between you and that company.
- Holding your money would make us a different business. The moment stakes pass through us we are no longer selling information, with all the licensing and all the conflicts that come with it.
- We recommend no bookmaker. No affiliate links, no commission, nobody paying to appear here. That stays true only while we have no stake in where you bet — see why we will not tell you where to bet.
What follows from it
- Your stake is yours. How much you risk is a decision we have no part in and no view of. Never stake money you cannot afford to lose.
- The price you actually get is yours. We publish the price we saw and the minimum we would take — your book may be higher or lower.
- Your limits are yours. If a bookmaker restricts or closes your account, that is between the two of you.
- The day counts either way. If the main pick wins, the winning day is delivered whether or not you placed the bet. What you bought is the pick, not the bet.
What we are responsible for
Publishing the main pick inside the day's window, before kick-off, with its price and its minimum — and settling the day honestly against the official result. That is the whole of it. Your stake, your bookmaker's limits and the price you actually got sit outside what we can stand behind, and we would rather write that down than let it be assumed.
This is not an investment
Betting is not income and it is not a market position. Skill can change which bets are worth taking; it cannot remove chance from any of them, and nobody here will tell you otherwise. If it stops being something you can afford, stop — and use the tools your bookmaker and your local support services offer.
