How to connect the BetsBeats MCP server to Cursor
Add the server to Cursor's mcp.json. Use ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project or .cursor/mcp.json for one project, and under mcpServers add betsbeats with the url https://api.betsbeats.com/mcp. No key or headers are needed. Then make sure it is switched on in Cursor's MCP settings and ask the agent to use a BetsBeats tool.
Checked against each client's documentation on 1 November 2026. Menus move between releases, so the endpoint URL is the one part that does not change.
Steps
- Create or open ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json in your project root (one project).
- Add the betsbeats entry shown below, keeping any servers already in the file.
- Save, then open Cursor's MCP settings and check that betsbeats is listed and switched on.
- Open the agent chat and run the test prompt below.
Config
{
"mcpServers": {
"betsbeats": {
"url": "https://api.betsbeats.com/mcp"
}
}
}Cursor's documentation shows remote servers with a url key and optional headers. Cursor has moved its settings screens more than once, so if you cannot find the MCP list, search the settings for MCP.
Test it
Ask your assistant to use a tool whose answer you can check by hand.
Use the BetsBeats MCP server to convert odds of +150 to decimal and implied probability.A working connection returns decimal odds of 2.5 and an implied probability of 0.4, which is 40 percent, from the convert_odds tool.
Questions
Global file or project file?
The global file applies to every project. The project file lives with the repository and can be committed so teammates get it. The server is public and keyless, so committing it is safe.
Does the entry need headers?
No. The server uses no authentication, so only url is needed.
