A college game that is never played

Void and refunded at most operators, and college produces far more of these than the professional game because there is often no rescheduling authority and no window to reschedule into.

A conference office decides, a campus decides, or a hurricane decides, and none of them owes anybody a replacement date. Where the NFL moves a game, college frequently declares it will not be played at all and the season simply continues.

Why the window rarely helps A Saturday game cancelled on Thursday has no Sunday to move to and no bye week left to use. The operator's seventy-two-hour window expires against a fixture nobody is trying to reschedule.

Futures and season-long markets are unaffected and settle on the standings as the conference finally rules them, which can include a game counted as a forfeit that was never played.

The problem arrives next. The settlement terms are written for a sport that reschedules, and applied to one that often does not — so the window that protects you in the NFL expires quietly here.

What to do with it. On a card with weather or a travel problem, expect a void rather than a delay, and check whether your operator settles or refunds a conference-declared forfeit.

How they ended

Over 1,299 finished games in College Football whose result line says how it ended — the feed's own one-line verdict, not a reading of the play.

WhatHow oftenOut ofShare

5 games landed exactly on the number — the handicap or the total — so they are in the counts they are out of and in neither result.

The prices counted here are DraftKings', as they stood when we last wrote each game up — one snapshot per game, near kick-off for almost all of them, and never a closing line. So this says what the published line did, not how it moved on the way there.

A season that happened. Nothing here predicts the next game, and none of it is advice.
