Backup quality varies more here than in any other league
At the top of the sport a backup quarterback is a future draft pick. At the bottom he is a walk-on. The same injury is worth three points at one programme and twenty at another.
Recruiting is enormously unequal and roster limits are generous, so depth charts at the top carry professional-quality reserves while those at the bottom carry students.
The transfer portal has narrowed this at the middle of the sport, because capable backups now move to places they will play rather than sitting.
Which is where it goes wrong. A single league-wide adjustment for a backup quarterback is wrong in both directions depending which game it is applied to, and applying one uniformly is worse than not adjusting.
What to do with it. Look up the specific backup before adjusting anything, because in this sport the name carries the entire effect.

How they ended
Over 1,299 finished games in College Football whose result line says how it ended — the feed's own one-line verdict, not a reading of the play.
| What | How often | Out of | Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Went past regulation | 64 | 1,299 | 4.9% |
5 games landed exactly on the number — the handicap or the total — so they are in the counts they are out of and in neither result.
The prices counted here are DraftKings', as they stood when we last wrote each game up — one snapshot per game, near kick-off for almost all of them, and never a closing line. So this says what the published line did, not how it moved on the way there.
A season that happened. Nothing here predicts the next game, and none of it is advice.
