What a unit is, and why stakes are quoted that way

A unit is a way of talking about the size of a bet without talking about anybody's money. One unit is whatever you have decided one unit is — decided once, in advance, and not adjusted bet by bet according to how confident you feel.

Why sizes get quoted this way at all

The people reading this page are in different countries, on different currencies, and at wildly different scales. "One unit" means the same thing to all of them. A figure in euros would mean something different to every one of them, and it would be a suggestion about their money that nobody asked us for.

What we do not do We publish a market, a side, a line and a price — the price being your bookmaker's for that exact side. We do not tell you what to stake. We never see your account and we never touch your money. The only sound answer to "how much" is an amount you would not mind losing, and betting is not income, not investment, and not a way to get back money you have already lost. Increasing stakes after a losing day is the most expensive habit in this entire vocabulary.

Sizing changes what a result costs you, not what it is

How you divide your money changes how much a given outcome moves your balance. It does not make any outcome more or less likely. There is no way of arranging stakes that makes a game predictable, and no system that removes the chance from it — that is not a caution about bad systems, it is a property of the thing itself.

What we count instead

Our own counter is in winning days, not in money, for the same reason: it is the part of this we actually control and can be held to. It counts picks delivered. It says nothing about your stake, because we do not know it.

What the published price did in US sports

11,262 games in US sports that are over and carried a price when we wrote them up, between November 24, 2025 and November 6, 2026. Each count sits beside what it is out of, and the share is the one divided by the other.

How they ended

Over 16,021 finished games in US sports whose result line says how it ended — the feed's own one-line verdict, not a reading of the play.

WhatHow oftenOut ofShare

286 games landed exactly on the number — the handicap or the total — so they are in the counts they are out of and in neither result.

The prices counted here are DraftKings', as they stood when we last wrote each game up — one snapshot per game, near kick-off for almost all of them, and never a closing line. So this says what the published line did, not how it moved on the way there.

A season that happened. Nothing here predicts the next game, and none of it is advice.
