How to unsubscribe
One click, from any email on the list. No sign-in, no reason, no "are you sure".
The whole procedure
- Open any email from the mailing list.
- Click Unsubscribe at the foot of it.
- That is the end of it. The link works on its own, without a session, so you do not have to find a password to stop hearing from us.
Anything more than one click would be a dark pattern, and it is also exactly what gets a sending domain marked as spam. The interest here is the same as yours.
What stops, and what does not
- Stops — previews and reports. The free list, entirely.
- Does not stop — anything about something you bought: the pick alerts, the day summary, the package notices, your invoices and anything to do with your password or security. Those are not marketing, and they are switched off in Settings → Alerts, one by one, by you.
Coming back
Subscribe again from any form on the site. The same address is simply reactivated; if it never confirmed the first time, a fresh confirmation link goes out.
The link is the identity
The unsubscribe link identifies the address it was sent to, so anybody holding it can unsubscribe that address — including a friend you forwarded the email to. That is the price of not making you log in, and we think it is the right way round for a list you never paid for.
